How to us make your DIY herbal tea Rinse

What You’ll Need:

  • 16 oz of water (that’s about 2 cups)
  • 2 ounces green tea (4 tablespoons)
  • 2ounces of dried rosemary leaves(4 tablespoons)
  • Optional: 0.5 oz of apple cider vinegar for that extra shine
  • Optional: A few drops of rosemary essential oil to amplify the scent and scalp benefits

Step 1: Boil the Water

Start by bringing 16 oz of water to a boil. You want it hot enough to really extract all those wonderful nutrients from the tea and herbs.

Step 2: Steep the Tea and Rosemary

Once the water’s ready, remove it from the heat and toss in your green tea bags and rosemary. Cover the pot to keep all that goodness locked in, and let it steep for a good a minimum of 4 hours or overnight. This is where the magic happens—the longer you let it sit, the more potent your rinse will be!

Step 3: Strain and Cool

After your tea has steeped, go ahead and strain the mixture into a bowl, getting rid of any loose bits of rosemary or tea leaves. Now, just give it some time to cool to a comfortable temperature. You don’t want it too hot when applying it to your hair.

Step 4: Add the Extras (Optional)

If you’re feeling fancy, you can stir in half an ounce of apple cider vinegar for an extra shine boost. Or add a few drops of rosemary essential oil to amplify the scent and stimulate your scalp even more.

Step 5: Rinse and Relax

Now for the fun part! After washing your hair, slowly pour the rinse over your hair and scalp, making sure to massage it in as you go. You can let it sit for a few minutes to soak in or better still 45-60 minutes if you have time to leave it in for some long-lasting benefits—totally up to you!
